Cameroonian Neurosurgeon, Dr. Ignatius Esene has been accorded full membership into the SIGMA XI Scientific Honor Research Society. Dr. Esene was granted full membership on the grounds of his research works on Research Methods in Clinical Research and innovations in neurologic examination. He developed the scientific proof for the sample sizes for case reports and case series in clinical research.
He has been an eloquent advocate for research equity in neurosurgery. His most significant contribution in neurosciences is attributed to his work on the Medial hamstring reflex where he provided scientific evidence for its diagnostic power in spine pathologies and popularized its use amongst neuroscientists.
