Today, March 20th, 2025, the first day of the finalists' week, has been exhilarating. The finalists are running for the fifth cohort of McCall MacBain Scholars at McGill University.

Meeting so many people from all over the world and putting on our explorer hats - from exploring the underground city and major poutine spots to visiting other cool landmarks - was incredible.

The cultural exchange has been immense. I didn’t miss a chance to share the sensory experience of enjoying a hot plate of kati-kati after a long day. And, as it is typical of any gathering with Ghanaians and Nigerians present, we ran into the jollof-rice wars lol. And within the rich diversity, we were united by our shared interests in working and contributing to our communities.

Connecting with people who share similar visions and aspirations to contribute to the world was inspiring. I definitely felt like I was perpetually in the midst of greatness and that was so amazing.
