On Wednesday, July 24th, we officially kicked off the second edition of the Open Dreams Summer Academy in Douala. It was a day filled with excitement and promise.

Welcoming the new pre-scholars into the Open Dreams community was a truly special moment.
Nfor Miriam introduced the pre-scholars to the vision and mission of Open Dreams, giving them insight into the heart of our work. She also highlighted the unique stories of our team members, showcasing the diverse journeys that have shaped our community.

The pre-scholars were then guided through the Open Dreams code of conduct, the Summer Academy curriculum, and more, setting the foundation for their journey with us.
One of the dayโs major highlights was hearing from two pre-scholars from the 2023 inaugural cohort, Andigema Joyce Aniย and Kelly, who shared their experiences and the profound changes that being part of Open Dreams has brought to their lives.
Iโm grateful for the privilege to witness and contribute to the transformation that Open Dreams is bringing to the lives of young, brilliant students in Cameroon. Itโs moments like these that reinforce the deep meaning and purpose behind our work.
