Celebrating CleanDrop: A Milestone Toward a Sustainable Future | Adio Marcel

I am deeply honored to announce that I have been awarded the First Prize in the DeWise Energy Transition Fellowship, organized by the DeWise Foundation. This recognition is more than just an accolade; it is a reaffirmation of our collective commitment to creating sustainable solutions for some of the world's most pressing challenges.

The DeWise Energy Transition Fellowship provided an extraordinary platform to pitch our innovative project, CleanDrop—a compact, gallon-sized water purification system designed to address the global issue of clean water accessibility. CleanDrop is more than just a product; it is a vision of hope and a practical, sustainable solution for communities where access to clean water remains a daily struggle.

CleanDrop: Innovation That Resonates

During the fellowship, presenting CleanDrop to a panel of esteemed judges and a forward-thinking audience was a defining moment. Seeing this idea resonate deeply with them affirmed our belief in its potential to drive meaningful change. CleanDrop is built on the principle of simplicity and sustainability, using advanced yet accessible technology to purify water in a compact, portable design. It is designed to empower individuals, especially those in underserved areas, by making clean water available wherever and whenever it is needed.

Gratitude: A Shared Victory

This milestone was not achieved alone. I want to express my heartfelt gratitude to Ange Grace and Nsom Jasmine Nange, whose unwavering support and collaboration have been instrumental throughout this journey. I am also deeply thankful for the guidance, encouragement, and insights shared by my mentors and peers, including Atagio Ngongueu, Bruel Seka, Jean Blaise, Bill Agha, Romaric Lonfonyuy, Muchuo Clifford (The Hungry Videographer), Dolorès Mache, and Bryan Sonkoue. Each of these individuals has played a role in shaping not only this project but also my vision for a more equitable and sustainable future. The energy and innovation they bring to the table inspired me to push boundaries and explore new solutions for the challenges we face.

The Road Ahead

Winning the DeWise Energy Transition Fellowship is not an endpoint—it’s a new beginning. This recognition fuels my passion and determination to continue working toward a sustainable energy transition and tackling global challenges like water scarcity, energy inequality, and environmental degradation.

CleanDrop represents just one step toward creating a brighter, cleaner future, and I’m excited to build on this momentum. I believe that by fostering collaboration, innovation, and purpose-driven action, we can achieve transformative change for communities worldwide.

A Call to Action

As we move forward, I invite everyone—innovators, advocates, and changemakers—to join us on this journey. Let’s take bold steps together toward a future that values sustainability, equity, and the well-being of every individual.

Thank you to the DeWise Foundation for providing this incredible opportunity and to everyone who has supported CleanDrop’s mission so far. The journey has only just begun, and the best is yet to come.

Here’s to a brighter tomorrow.
